Adwave Competitor Content Guidelines & Rules

Overview

These rules govern how competitor and comparison content is created for Adwave's blog. The goal is to position Adwave as the clear choice for small businesses without giving free awareness to direct competitors.

---

⚠️ CRITICAL RULE: No Direct Competitor Mentions

NEVER mention these platforms by name in any content:

Banned CompetitorsWhy
MNTNDirect CTV competitor
Vibe / Vibe.coDirect CTV competitor
CreatifyDirect CTV/creative competitor
tvScientificDirect CTV competitor
Simpli.fiDirect CTV competitor
Any other CTV ad platformGives them free awareness

Why this matters:

  1. Mentioning competitors gives them free brand awareness
  2. It validates them as alternatives in readers' minds
  3. It sends our SEO traffic to their sites
  4. It makes readers think there are "options" when Adwave IS the answer

---

What We CAN Mention

✅ Streaming Platforms (Not Competitors)

These are delivery platforms where Adwave ads appear:

Why allowed: They're not ad-buying competitors. They're where our ads run. Mentioning them shows our inventory quality.

✅ Advertising Channels (For Comparison Content)

When comparing CTV to other ad channels:

Why allowed: These are different advertising channels, not direct platform competitors.

---

How to Handle "Comparison" Search Intent

For searches like "best CTV platform" or "CTV advertising platforms":

Adwave Key Differentiators

Every piece of content should emphasize these Adwave strengths:

1. Lowest Barrier to Entry

2. AI Creative Generation

3. Accepts Your Own Video Too

4. Built for True SMBs

5. Premium Inventory

6. Simple, Transparent Pricing

---

If Asked About Competitors

If a reader or customer asks about competitors directly:

Response approach (generic, no names):

"There are other platforms in the market, but most either require existing video assets or have minimums in the thousands. Adwave is purpose-built for small businesses: we create your ad from your website, start at just $50, and run on 100+ premium channels. It's the only platform that combines AI creative generation with low minimums and premium inventory access."

Key point: Generic reference without naming anyone.
